General Anesthesia

Dental General Anesthesia is used to eliminate dental anxiety, pain, and immobilize the patient allowing the dentist to focus on performing the dental procedure. Patients having dental treatment under general anesthesia are completely unconscious, unaware of what is happening during the dental procedure. In the dental office, the administraion of General Anesthesia is not done by the dentisty but by an Anesthesiologist.

At Treasure Smiles Pediatric Dentistry, we also provide this service when indicated.

Our office Anesthesiologist is Dr. Grace L Dorsch. Dr. Dorsch a Board Certified Anesthesiologist has over 20 years of experience in the field.  In addition to her great expertise in the field, she also understands the stress that parents can experience during their child's procedure. We enjoy working with her.

During these procedures, it is required that the team is certified in Basic Life Support management.

All of our staff in our office are Basic Life Support certified.  In addition, both Dr. Dr La Cruz and Dr. Dorsch are certified in Pediatric Advance Life Support.
